2nd Iran Steel Export Perspectives Conference, September 4th, Istanbul, Turkey
2nd Iran Steel Export Perspectives Conference – registration is open!
We are glad to announce 2nd Iran Steel Export Perspectives Conference which will take place on September 4, 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Today, when the issue of economic sanctions seems to be very close to being resolved, Iranian steel market is gaining power and opening new prospects, getting on the one hand more attractive for foreign suppliers, but on the other - more challenging.
Over the years of sanctions Iran’s billet capacities rose 50% to around 13 million tpy and continue to develop. That means Iran is now able not only to cover domestic needs but also to turn from former net importer to one of the leading semis suppliers to MENA region and to compete with CIS producers.
At the same time, Iran is restricting steel import by imposing higher tariffs. These barriers make hopes of traditional suppliers to come back to this market less and less realistic. What will be their respond: lower prices, re-orientation to other markets? Or they will be looking for alternative products to offer?
One of the products in demand can be agglomerated iron ore as local capacities are not enough yet. Meanwhile Iran’s need in pellets grows together with plans to become top world DRI producer.
These questions are a great challenge and opportunity for both domestic and foreign market players, which make them great topics to discuss at the 2nd Iran Steel Export Perspectives Conference 2015.
Key topics to be discussed:
1) Iran steel market in post-sanctions era
2) Iran’s export potential for billets and competition with traditional suppliers in MENA
3) On the way to become the world largest DRI producer. But pellets shortage remains?
4) Oversupply in the domestic longs market – will expected growth in consumption help?
5) Import constrains as a challenge for foreign suppliers – in search for new opportunities
Standard Rate - 1200$
Early Bird Rate – 1000$ (till 04 of June, 2015)
